NAR & AMPI Appoint Director of International Relations

The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR) are pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Finson as executive Director of International Relations.

Vanessa has a masters degree from the London School of Economics and experience in marketing education, events, etc. She has an international background, including experience and education in Norway. Vanessa did her undergraduate university work in North Dakota, and resides in Mexico, D.F.

Her work will focus on international activities. This will include increasing the alliance between AMPI and NAR.

The National Association of Realtors is the largest trade organization in North America with over 1 million members. AMPI has Sections in 55 cities. NAR maintains operating agreements with 62 real estate associations in 51 nations.

Vanessa's appointment is a result of a joint venture between AMPI and NAR. The new agreement is scheduled to be formally ratified by representatives of both organizations at the 50th Anniversary Conference of AMPI in Mexico, D.F. from October 4th-7th, 2006.

A special event at the AMPI Conference will be the introduction of a new four hours course, "Doing Business in Mexico." The new joint venture is expected to provide greater uniformity of standards of practice in real estate between the two countries.
