Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Many people dream about living on the beach in a tourist town, but when you are born in that tourist town you may want to leave and explore the world. This is the story of one local man who decided to return.

Hugo Rivas, a estate agent with Ron Morgan Properties in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico recently opened a new Ron Morgan real estate office in Bucerias at Mexico 40-A, on the same street as the church. This location is just north of their other Bucerias office, which is at Lazaro Cárdenas 108A.

"I only knew the small town of Bucerias when I was growing up, that's where I had lived my whole life," says Hugo. "But when it came time to go to college, I had to leave because at that time there was no college in the Bay of Banderas." He attended Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and majored in accounting and spent a total of seven years in Guadalajara between school, securing a job, and working in one of Mexico's largest cities.

Recently Hugo decided to move back to Bucerias because he missed his home town. "It's a small community where everyone knows everybody, it's a very friendly and tight neighborhood," says Hugo. "Bucerias is also a very mixed place with Mexicans, Canadians and Americans so it makes life really interesting." He also says that he spent a lot of time and effort learning English, but his skills were suffering with all the time spent in Guadalajara, where English is not necessary.

"I like to interact and meet with people I do not know," says Hugo, "Real estate seemed to be a perfect fit since it comes natural and I enjoy it." Hugo continues to perform accounting duties for area real estate companies, restaurants, bars and other small companies. He also oversees several rental properties and lists and sells real estate for Ron Morgan Properties. "It is about doing a little bit of everything to make ends meet," says Hugo. "We all need to survive during this tough economy."

The diversity of his jobs, living close to his family, and the wonderful life in Bucerias make Hugo a natural for real estate in the Bay of Banderas region.
