Los Cabos, Mexico - In November, 2012 at its annual Realtors Conference and Expo, The National Association of Realtors (NAR) announced its new Country Spotlight program. For 2013, the spotlight would shine on Mexico. In 2014 it will shine on Australia, and in 2015 it will be on Canada.
The year is mid-way through and there has been a great deal of activity created in Mexico by the NAR promoting the country to its members around the globe. The objective for Mexico is to convince people from around the world that Mexico is a safe place to invest in and to visit.
Over the last 5 months, NAR has sent out numerous newsletters and bulletins to its more than 1 million members and has promoted Mexico using its CIPS Network. At Realtor.org, the Global page contains information on Mexico and on the activities of A.M.P.I. (the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals.)
At NAR's midyear meetings in Washington, AMPI President Guillermo Salgado and the Mexican delegation were visible everywhere, attending meetings and social events with international Realtors.
In early June, the AMPI Section in Los Cabos, B.C.S., with strategic support from AMPI and NAR, will host an Investment, Resort and Second Home Forum. It will be followed by the first ever CIPS Institute to be presented in English in the country.
Plans are underway to make AMPI a high profile participant at the November NAR Conference. It will take place in San Francisco, California from November 8 to 11, 2013.
With these activities, the awareness of Mexico as a safe place to visit and for investment has reached new heights. Several social media sites are online in support of Spotlight Mexico. We invite you to visit them and to post on them.
