How would you like to help send a local child to one of the best summer camps in Vallarta? As they begin promoting their annual Summer Camp among local parents and students, Puerto Vallarta's Public Library, Biblioteca Los Mangos, is looking for donors to sponsor a child through the program. The four-week Summer Camp, which begins on July 15 and is open to children ages three to 13, provides students with a safe, educational environment in which they are immersed in a variety of fun and educational activities. These include art, science, language, and social skill development, among others. The cost for the entire program is approximately $200 USD per child, but some families can't afford to pay cost of admission, so Los Mangos is looking for scholarship sponsors. Donations can be made in full- ($200) or half- ($100) scholarship amounts. "If a donor requests it, we will gladly keep them updated of their scholarship student with photos," General Director Adriana García promised. If you'd like to help a kid go to camp this summer, please send an email to Adriana at

New Direct Flights Between Canada and Mexico This Winter
The winter season is the perfect time to escape really cold temperatures and fly into warmer climates – such as those found in Mexico. Well, at least compared to the freezing temperatures in Canada. "Air connections between Mexico and Canada are essential to the growing mobility of citizens between both countries," said Consul General of Mexico in Vancouver Claudia Franco Hijuelos in a recent article in
Business In Vancouver. In response to this, Aeroméxico, one of Mexico's largest airline, and Canadian Sunwing Airlines have announced new direct routes between Canada and Mexico. Starting on December 9, 2015, Aeroméxico will launch its new non-stop flight between Mexico City to Vancouver on a daily basis, transporting 124 passengers in a Boeing 737 aircraft. Adding to this, Sunwing Airlines will open up a new weekly direct flight from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Cancun, Quintana Roo, starting on December 23 this year. Thus broadening the opportunity for vacationing at a favorite destination: the Mexican Caribbean.
