A 'Cabin Warming' Party at Tierra Alta, Near El Tuito

March 18, 2016

Just 45 minutes away from the beaches of Cabo Corrientes, the Tierra Alta eco-development offers a welcome retreat from everything you left home to forget: crowds, traffic congestion, high prices, and heat.

El Tuito, Jalisco - Bruce Beckler, a Canadian transplant to the Vallarta area, celebrated the completion of his spacious and very beautiful cabin retreat near El Tuito on March 6. A total of about 50 people attended the event which included a poolside lunch served at the model cabin for Tierra Alta, which sold the cabin lot to Bruce. Tierra Alta is the developer for the property and is currently promoting the sale of the 13 lots remaining from the original 20 cabin sites.

Tierra Alta assisted with the inauguration event. Xochitl Ruiz de Kimball, General Manager of the Tierra Alta development said, "We all like Bruce so much. It's wonderful to see him so comfortable here in his new, beautiful cabin. I think he is going to be really happy here."

Bruce said, "I'm more than happy. I'm ecstatic with my new place. I feel tucked away very happily in this oak forest, far from the noise and congestion and heat of Vallarta. I will always go to Puerto Vallarta but mainly for supplies and to see friends. It's only an hour away."

Bruce is already under construction on a second cabin for rentals at Tierra Alta. Located just above the current model cabin, the new cabin will offer accommodations for up to 8 people. The expected completion date is in the Fall.

"We will have the occasional delay due to heavy rains this summer," said Ing. Fernando Perez, who built both the model cabin and Bruce's cabin and serves as the "Preferred Contractor" at Tierra Alta. "But we have learned how to deal with the rains." David Kimball, who leads the promotional program for Tierra Alta, said, "We have every expectation of seeing construction starts for two more cabins by the end of this year - one is already scheduled for September. That will bring the total to five cabins, which gets us close to 'critical mass' in forming this community."

Kimball said that lead generation has risen pretty dramatically over the last two months. "I don't know why interest in the project has risen so quickly in recent months. But the fact that Bruce's cabin is so beautiful and well located certainly doesn't hurt," Kimball said. "Nobody wants to be a pioneer so we are very grateful that Bruce had the fortitude to make the first commitments."
