Galleria Dante Reopens for the Season

After a busy summer, on October 1st Galleria Dante reopened its doors for the 14th year in Puerto Vallarta. We could not have done it without the support of the locals, as well as the many wonderful foreigners to our fair city, who patronized us and recommended us to all their family and friends. Thank you to all for the friendship you gave our family and our staff over the past 21 years in business here in Puerto Vallarta.
Many of our current artists, in addition to their former techniques, are experimenting with new materials and styles and are anxious to present these works to you throughout the upcoming season. We are in the process of reformatting our entire website, so you will see changes and updates weekly. Please visit our website often.
Once again we will have "artists in residence" painting in the gallery. Since many of our artists live outside Vallarta, and collectors cannot visit their studios, we are bringing the artists' studios to them. At these "Open Studios," one or more artists will take turns painting on site. The artists had such success the last 2 years, that many more artists will be working in the gallery this season.
Juana Cortez and Oscar Solis will be painting in the gallery on October 19th, 22nd and 26th from 10 am to 2 pm. Juana continues to paint Mexican women and children, Oscar paints horses, birds, Africans, Apaches, still life's and more.
Lots happening with artist Cherie Sibley. Cherie will paint "every" Wednesday in the gallery from 10 am to 1 pm. She is also offering a "Paint your Pet" workshop and continues with her art classes and workshops all year. Offering FREE art classes with any purchase of one of her paintings, Cherie has added a new series this season: Italian laundry, but continues to paint her waterfowl with much success.
Cherie and 5 of her art students are currently painting a mural of Sally Conley's
higuera tree to be placed in the Los Mangos Library in a new wing dedicated to Sally for her contribution to the children of Vallarta.
Other artists such as Yvan Genest, Peter Spataro & Oscar Solis are giving classes throughout the season. We would be happy to forward them any inquiries.
