| 100% recyclable products made by Manos de Mujeres Unidas, part of the PEACE non-profit organization, are now available at high-end Puerto Vallarta boutiques. | | Local nonprofit PEACE has recently partnered with high-end Puerto Vallarta boutiques Cielito Lindo Collections and El Baño de Maria, exposing their handmade, 100% recyclable products along side iconic luxury items.
Manos Unidos por la Mujer (United Hands for Women,) one of PEACE’s four principle programs, teaches women how to make unique handicrafts, and empowers them to move toward financial independence by providing business resources, education and training.
"The time and skill it takes to produce this artwork is truly amazing," said Ana Pena, Director of Manos Unidas. "The sales from these business partnerships will directly help our artesian co op and provide essential funding for PEACE to continue other community programs."
Cielito Lindo Collections has been extremely successful and boasts one of the best showrooms in Mexico. Set in a traditional Puerto Vallarta home, the store was built in the patio of what used to be one of the biggest estates on Basilio Badillo street. New jewelry is showcased every week exposing clients to only one-of-a-kind pieces.
El Baño de Maria, one of the first natural beauty supply shops in the Banderas Bay area is also enjoying steady growth and is ideally located near the boardwalk downtown. Existing PEACE business partnerships include Davanna Yoga, Lalo Morales Boutique, Sun Silver and the Vallarta Botanical Gardens.
