Puerto Vallarta Animal Rights March, May 2010 DestinationPEACEMexi June 01, 2010
An international animal rights march took place in Puerto Vallarta, along with many other cities in Mexico and the world. A puppy torture and death spawned this local humane effort to get the government and law enforcement to enforce the laws and apply stiff penalties to offenders. Around 100 attended this peaceful walk along the Malecón. PEACE: Protection, Education, Animals, Culture and Environment, is a nonprofit organization established in 2005, made of four main programs which focus on education, entrepreneurship, animal well-being, and community engagement in the coastal regions of Nayarit, Jalisco and Quintana Roo, Mexico.
