The summer heat has arrived in full force, and yet the late afternoon continues to be accompanied by heavy rains in many villages throughout the Bay. Many families will not be able to rebuild or do the necessary repairs until the rainy season comes to end.

PEACE continues to organize the collection and distribution of donations, which are being dispersed to those in need. The project coordinator has been working with Entre Amigos in San Pancho, Costa Verde International School in Sayulita and the judges in San Ignacio, San Quintin, Guamuchil and Higuera Blanca in order to distribute donations and figure out how PEACE can help in the reconstruction process.

Your donations have directly helped many families who lost a great deal in the flood. Needy families have received clothing, shoes, food, bedding, pillows and blankets. In Guamúchil, monetary donations were used to drain the over-flowing septic tank at the elementary school, as the tank was filled to capacity due to the rain, thus creating a public health risk for students.

Although much help has arrived, we still must keep in mind that the rebuilding of homes, repairs, basic household items and food are still much-needed items in most of the villages.

The current needs in the towns are:

• Dry and Canned Food
• Fans
• Kitchen Supplies
• Mattresses
• Sheets
• Chairs
• Small Electric Stoves
• Shoes for Adults and Children

We are still in need of monetary donations in order to purchase the supplies to rebuild the affected homes and communities. To donate, please visit PeaceMexico.org.

• Reconstruction of homes: Construction Supplies
• Construction Tools
