Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Think back to when you were a kid - summer day camps and activities and how much fun it was! What pleasant memories! Biblioteca Los Mangos (The Puerto Vallarta Public Library) offers a super, month long "day camp" for little ones ages 4 to 6 years old and as well, ages 6 through 12.

Running from July 11 through August 5, 2011 the days are jam-packed with projects and activities from crafts to sports. The entire program is in Spanish, of course!

Perhaps you would consider being a "secret angel" and provide payment for a child who comes from an extremely low income family, who otherwise would not be able to attend this summer fun! Or, gather some of your co-workers and/or friends and sponsor a child together. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community. (Tax deductible facturas are available.) As well, perhaps your own child, grandchild, neighbor or children of friends would like to attend.

We have also created a "Wish List" of items needed for the summer program. Includes: crayons, construction paper, colored pencils, glue, scissors, balloons and craft supplies.

Basic Los Mangos Summer Program Information:

Children ages 4 to 6
10 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday
$2200 pesos (complete program)
$750 pesos (per week)
$215 pesos (per day)

Children ages 6 to 12
9 am to 2 pm & special overnight party Fridays 8 pm to 8 am Saturday
$1850 pesos (complete program)
$650 pesos (per week)
$180 pesos (per day)

* Program does not include food or beverages.

Remember that Biblioteca Los Mangos operates completely on donations. This is not just a library, but a true community center. Your assistance is needed!
