Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Vallarta’s favorite one-stop-shop for everything delicious has now re-opened for their 2nd season and in celebration, each store at Los Mercados will donate 10% of its sales on a certain day of the week to support the Los Mangos Library; a beloved non-profit organization that offers something for all members of the community throughout Banderas Bay.

The calendar for donations starting November 1st are: Monday @ Fireworks, Tuesday @ Mikey’s, Wednesday @ k’ rico :), Thursday @ Cork + Bottle and Friday @ Don Fresco. In addition, all coins found in the Los Mercados fountain will be donated to Los Mangos. Los Mangos has been selected by Los Mercados to be their exclusive fundraising partner for 2011/2012.

One of the best cultural resources in Puerto Vallarta is the public library, Biblioteca Los Mangos (Los Mangos Library), located on Francisco Villa Avenue not far from Costco. The library is open to the public and has a large selection of books in Spanish and in English.

The library also offers an extensive list of courses including ballet, piano, and painting at very reasonable prices. The best way to find out what is being offered is to visit the library. At the main entrance is a bulletin board with postings for all of the courses and activities.

Also, many of the library’s events, classes, and cultural activities are listed on the library’s informational blog at biblioteca-los-mangos.blogspot.com. The library really offers something for everyone and is worth your support.

So, the next time you have a craving for something really good, head on over to Los Mercados on the south side of Puerto Vallarta and come support Los Mangos Library.
