La Peñita, Mexico - This year, the non-profit Cancer de Mama organization is holding a party to kick-off the upcoming 4th Annual Cancer de Mama Clinic in La Peñita, Nayarit, Mexico. The party is a way to inform the public about the clinic and clinic needs, as well as to provide an opportunity for people to get involved if they cannot volunteer at the clinic.

With the help of over 100 volunteers (both men and women), Cancer de Mama provides free prosthesis, funds medical expenses, offers after-surgery counseling and physical therapy and provides wigs, scarves and hats for Mexican women who suffer from breast cancer. The organization also works with local doctors to coordinate assistance with rent, food and medical care for cancer patients in our community.

During the 3-day clinic, volunteers are available to offer compassion, hope and encouragement to women from all over the State of Nayarit and from as far away as Guadalajara, Jalisco. Last year, the Cancer de Mama Clinic helped more than 300 women.

The Cancer de Mama Kick-Off Party will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the beautiful Los Compadres Restaurant in La Peñita, Nayarit, Mexico and will be hosted by Los Compadres owners, George & Loretta Leavitt. The party will start at 3 pm with a silent auction and games including a Peso Throw, Relay Race, Slingshot Bra, Boob Toss and Pink Horse Racing. Dinner, music by DJ Jose and dancing are also planned.

One of the highlights of the party is sure to be the "Build a Bra. Wear a Bra, Vote a Bra. Bid a Bra for Charity" event in which designers will display their bra creations. People are encouraged to design a bra and event-goers will vote on their favorites. These bras will be auctioned off and all proceeds will go to the Cancer de Mama Clinic. There will be Secret Judges, Dirty Judges and People’s Choice Judges who will determine the winning bras. This is sure to be a fun event for all and it supports a great cause!

Tickets are $250 pesos and only 100 will be sold. Tickets will be available at Los Compadres Restaurant and the La Peñita RV Park starting mid next week.
