Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Pancho Vela is coming to the Vallarta Yacht Club (VYC) to help the kids in our Jr. Sailing Program to keep on sailing!

It’s the Fall Fundraiser, a Revolution Day Dinner, and a DJ party. There will be a raffle for prizes, as well as an auction. Prizes include: certificates for hotels, spas, dinners, and other exciting gifts from merchants across the Banderas Bay area.

During the day the kids will be sailing in the VYC "Regata de la Revolución," so come on over to the party and cheer them on for the next day’s races!

This fundraiser is critical to support the VYC Jr. Sailing Program. It enables us to keep training the sailors of tomorrow (8-15 yrs. old) by maintaining the program and equipment in a sound and safe manner.

The program also provides opportunities for scholarships. Local prospective young sailors can participate and develop the skills and self-confidence they will need in life.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 17th at 6:00 pm and the price for the dinner is $300 pesos per person. Children under 12 are only $150 pesos each. All net proceeds support the Jr. Sailing Program.

Sailing helps to develop maturity and self-reliance in these youths and offers them the opportunity to both sail for pleasure and to compete with young sailors all across Mexico. Some of our VYC Jr. Sailors have earned medals in the Mexico Jr. Olympics and have competed in international regattas with participating countries from as far away as Singapore. Let’s join together and keep the program going!
