Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Puerto Vallarta Institute of Culture is proud to present "Musical Sunsets" a series of free artistic presentations at Los Arcos Amphitheater on the Malecón through April 7th.
Over the next 10 nights, you'll enjoy various music genres, ranging from classical and traditional Mexican music to jazz, rock, funk, Flamenco, and dance performances.
The series, which began earlier this week with performances by César Bugarin and Karla Barragán's "Alas" singing school, has had an excellent response from the local community as well as the domestic and foreign tourists who are visiting Puerto Vallarta for the Easter holidays. If you missed the above mentioned shows, you can catch them again on April 3rd and 7th, respectively.
The 'Musical Sunsets' series continues tonight (Friday, March 29) at 7 pm with a piano concert by students of the Cuale Cultural Center. On Saturday, March 30, Koi will be performing at 6 pm, followed by the Luna Azul Duet with Grupo Tatewari Musica Mexican at 7 pm and Perla Alarcón at 9 pm. On Sunday, La Boquita will play Flamenco Fusion at 7 pm.
On Monday, April 1st, Professional troubadour Galindo Castillo will perform at 8:30 pm. On Tuesday, April 2nd, Mexican singer José Alfredo Samaniega will entertain the crowds at 6 pm, followed by a Ballet Atemoztu performance at 7 pm.
Wednesday, April 3rd starts out with Koi playing at 6:00 pm, followed by Lucia M. Avila's Arabic and Salsa dance performances at 7:00 pm, and an encore performance by Cesar Bugarin playing his Jazz trumpet at 9:00 pm. On Thursday, the Luna Azul Duet returns to the Los Arcos stage at 7 pm.
On Friday, April 5th Saxophonist Nikte will perform at 6 pm, and local favorites Frixoleros Música will play traditional instruments to entertain us with their Son style of music from Vera Cruz at 7 pm.
Bittersweet's Jazz and Funk kicks off a weekend of great entertainment on Saturday at 7 pm, and the fun continues with Los Mondos playing lively Rock and Funk at 8 pm.
Sunday, April 7th sees the return of Karla Barragán's "Alas" singing school at 6:30 pm, and another fantastic performance by Ballet Atemoztu at 8 pm will top off an unforgettable Easter vacation in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
