Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - There are many wonderful events coming up to support Becas Vallarta, including a Becas Breakfast at River Café on February 19th and the Becas Ball at Club Regina on March 8, 2014.

The annual February Becas Breakfast at the River Café is fast approaching and reservations are coming in fast. This is always a special breakfast for me as it comes within a few days of my birthday - this year an unbelievable 82nd - and that of my friend Jerry Wilson who is 364 days older. Everyone is always in a great mood. I am sure this year will be no different as Eva and her staff knock themselves out to make it the best breakfast in Puerto Vallarta. They will be serving Scrambled Eggs served with Hot Cakes, Bacon and Fresh Fruit, Coffee, Orange Juice and Homemade Fresh Bread.

The Ball will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 6:00 pm at Club Regina (the same venue as last year.) After getting your table assignment and your Becas Ball Gift Bag, enjoy a fabulous free cocktail hour in the Garden Area.

While you are sipping, you can peruse the silent auction tables that will be laden with splendid gifts from Becas Vallarta's supporters. We have original art from Marta Gilbert, Meg Monroe and Ada Colorina. We have great posters by the late Peter Gray and Becas Ball Posters from 1997 (Peter Gray) and 1998 (Marta Gilbert) donated by Vickie Jensen; 2 Mermaid sculptures by Victoria of Patzcuaro, Michoacan; nights in boutique and 5 star hotels in Vallarta and all over Mexico; dinners in Vallarta's best restaurants; jewelry from Cassandra Shaw and June Rosen, and much, much more.

After the cocktail hour, there will be a sit down dinner with wine, dance music and entertainment by Odyssey (Odisea) from Ciudad Guzman, a surprise show and more. The theme this year is "Paris" and the suggested colors for dress are black, gold and pink. We are just getting started and it already looks like it might surpass last year's event!

Ball tickets are $1500 Pesos or $120 USD. There are 10 seats per table and you can buy a whole table or a table for at least 8 to have your own reserved space.
