Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Given the resounding success of last year's Illumination Dinner, Show and Art Auction, Pasitos de Luz volunteers are already preparing for this year's fundraising event.

Currently they are looking for donations that focus on the arts, including paintings, photography, drawings, sculptures, pottery, etc. to be auctioned off at the 2018 event, with all proceeds benefitting the Pasitos de Luz children at Casa Connor.

Founded by mothers of disabled children, this marvelous day care facility allows family members to work outside of the home, knowing that their children's needs are being met in Casa Connor's loving and caring environment.

All of these children, without exception, have disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Autism, Silent Disease and Blindness to name a few. Pasitos de Luz offers these kids 100% FREE services, including special education, medical specialists, medicine, family support, speech therapy, love, day care, physical rehabilitation, nutrition, paint workshops, recreation and hygiene.

Housed at Casa Connor, Pasitos is a lifeline for approximately 130 families with a goal of reaching 200 families in the Banderas Bay area by 2020. Each day the center sees approximately 70 children who suffer from acute physical and/or psychological illnesses.

Since Pasitos de Luz does not receive any state or government financial assistance, with the exception of DIF (Family Services) in Puerto Vallarta, which provides breakfast for the children every school day, fundraisers like the Illumination Dinner, Show and Art Auction help cover expenses.
