Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - The Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas Summer Socials just keep getting better and better!

The season got off to a great start in May with Democrats Abroad's first summer social at Langostinos. More than 70 Democrats came out to catch up with friends old and new and enjoy a cold one on the beach. It was a beautiful afternoon, with an incredible sunset and a lot of positive energy.

June's social at Florio's was a lively event, with everyone chilling out in the restaurant's swanky cocktail lounge, while sucking up some air conditioning and sipping on their sensational signature drinks.

Then there was the fabulous All-American Independence Day Celebration at Daiquiri Dick's, with everyone enjoying classic 4th of July picnic food, live music by the Texas Embassy Blues Band, a silent auction for great prizes, and a front-row seat for one of Puerto Vallarta's famous sunsets!

In August, they'll be switching things up a bit, with a very Special Summer Social at Vallarta Botanical Gardens.

Everyone is welcome to meet members of the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad in the Hall of Flowers at 10:00 am on Sunday, August 4th, for an exclusive private tour of the Garden, led by none other than its Founder, Bob Price!

As we explore the Vallarta Botanical Garden's inspirationally landscaped grounds, fascinating botanical collections, impressive plant conservatories and adventurous trails through the forest preserve, Bob will teach us about Mexico's native flora and fauna.

Upon completion of the tour, you can enjoy an a la carte brunch/lunch in the Garden's fabulous Hacienda de Oro Restaurant, which serves up authentic Mexican cuisine and incredible views of the Garden, river, mountains and valleys.

Afterwards, you can continue to explore at your leisure, so make plans now to come to the Vallarta Botanical Garden us on Sunday, August 4 for an amazing day of discovery!

Garden entry fees are $200 pesos per person. Transportation is not included, but there are buses and taxis in Puerto Vallarta that can take you directly to and from the Vallarta Botanical Garden, located just 30 minutes south of Old Town at Km. 24 on Highway 200.
