Puerto Vallarta art dealer Alejandro Baez has always placed the utmost importance in offering the public an excellent collection of art.
Born in Mexico City, Baez grew up and studied in different parts of Mexico, the United States and Europe. After moving to Santa Fe New Mexico, he began to live and work within the art community and procured a combination of experience and education that would later lead to the creation of his two Puerto Vallarta art galleries - Sol y Luna Fine Contemporary Art and Sol y Luna Art for the Uninhibited.
Both galleries opened their doors in 2006, bringing Baez's art experience and education to the Puerto Vallarta art scene by highlighting a collection of international artists for fine art collectors, as well as admirers.
At Sol y Luna Fine Contemporary Art gallery, you'll find a blend of one-of-a-kind sculptures and paintings in a variety of mediums, techniques and styles, giving art collectors an array of unique contemporary art works to choose from - something for every taste.
At this Puerto Vallarta art gallery, Baez showcases a collection of modern art by Mexican and international artists who are personal friends that he has been working with for years. Because of this, they have a special pricing agreement, which means that you can purchase fine art for far less than you would pay in most other international and local art galleries.
Located at Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez 155 in downtown Puerto Vallarta, Sol y Luna Fine Contemporary Art gallery is open every Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm. During high season, from October through April, guests can enjoy a wine reception every Wednesday from 6 to 10 pm. Also, a new artist is showcased to personally present and share their work with the public every two weeks. Private viewings can also be arranged. While Galería Sol y Luna's location in downtown Puerto Vallarta offers an eclectic collection of mainstream contemporary art, its counterpart on the south side has a narrower, yet richer scope: celebrating the beauty of the male body.

Sol y Luna Art for the Uninhibited is Latin America's only fine art gallery dedicated exclusively to showcasing male nude art. Representing both Mexican and international artists, the gallery's extensive collection of paintings, sculpture, and photography are presented in varying degrees - from the sensual to the erotic - but they all showcase the male nude in a fresh new expression and form.
Located at Lazaro Cardenas 230 in the Puerto Vallarta Romantic Zone, Sol y Luna Art for the Uninhibited is open for viewing every Monday through Saturday from 2 pm to 9 pm with wine receptions every Friday from 6 to 10 pm during high season.
