A Video Diva in Puerto Vallarta a profile of Laura Gelezunas

| | Video journalist Laura Gelezunas owns Video Diva Productions, a full-service digital video company in Puerto Vallarta. Visit her website at VideoDivaProductions.com or contact her at VideoDivaProductions@Yahoo.com | Having spent 10 years in the world of broadcast news, Laura Gelezunas decided to unleash her skills on Puerto Vallarta. Actually, her contract was not renewed and she came to PV for a vacation and never left (haven't you always wanted to do that?)
Her last job was Chief Meteorologist, at a CBS affiliate in Rock Island, Illinois; it's three hours west of Chicago on the Illinois/Iowa border.
Laura has bachelor's degrees in Media Communications and Meteorology, an associate's degree in Business Administration and a minor degree in Russian history, she loved being a student.
Laura did the TV news thing in five US cities. She chased tornadoes in Kansas, dodged hurricanes in Georgia and weathered blizzards in Michigan, and enjoyed every minute of it.
During her years in the TV business, she was a videographer, reporter, writer, editor, sportscaster, producer and had her own cooking segment. She also worked with the sales staff to write and produce local television commercials.
She arrived in Puerto Vallarta over three years ago, while she was "in between" TV jobs. Laura saw the great potential for a new way of life and a new career.
Laura says, "It is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle, the video, the script and the editing, I want to tell a story and want people to see exactly what I am talking about."
"Puerto Vallarta is such an exciting market because there are no other video journalists working here and I can explore my creativity. All I can say is, if a picture is worth a thousand words, what is the video worth?"
Laura is looking forward to putting Puerto Vallarta on the video map and taking the city's video promotion into the next millennium.
Laura owns Video Diva Productions, a full-service digital video company. She produces real estate video virtual tours, WEBmercials, virtual menus, and closed circuit tv programs, plus much more.
