On Saturday, December 7th, Nuevo Vallarta was brimming with culinary delights, all in the name of charity. As a result of the Vallarta Yacht Club Chili Cook-Off/Taste of Nuevo, the Toys for Tots and Families at the Dump programs each received donations in excess of $23,000 pesos.

Canadian Family Raising Funds for Children of the Dump

The Liscum family from Winnipeg, Manitoba goes to Puerto Vallarta every year to help Children of the Dump’s 'School of Champions,' a program that supplements Mexico’s public-school system with English, math, and computer literacy skills — topics they wouldn’t learn otherwise.
