El Arrayán 'Touching Your Heart for a Noble Cause'

On Saturday, March 22nd El Arrayán Restaurant will open its doors - and its heart - to support MexPup, Puerto Vallarta's non-profit dog rescue organization that oversees the health, socialization, fostering, and chaperoning of stray dogs while finding them a forever home.
Mexican Orchids Conservatory Construction Has Begun

Construction is now underway at Vallarta Botanical Garden of the new Conservatory for the National Collection of Mexican Orchids. Progress so far includes leveling of the site, delivery of materials, and installation of steel and concrete for the building's columns.

The Fifth Annual Duckaton fundraiser became the biggest and best to date, raising $75,000 pesos for SETAC Tu Centro Comunitario and their fight against AIDs in Puerto Vallarta. More than 250 people attended the charity bash, which featured live music, fabulous food, and great prizes.

IFC English Outreach Program Successfully Launched

A new language program, which offers free English classes to financially challenged members of the Mexican community, is underway at the Puerto Vallarta IFC. Most of the students are adults who need English for their jobs, and the course focuses on basics and conversational English.
