Wolf Pack Puts on Softball Clinic for Vallarta Children

Scenic ocean views and palm trees in late-February provided a pristine backdrop for the Nevada softball's team trip to Mexico for the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge last month. But the most fulfilling part of the trip for the student-athletes happened off the diamond.

PV's Straight Men Stand Up Against Domestic Violence

On March 18th, some of Puerto Vallarta's finest men will compete in 'What A Drag!' - PV's first drag competition for straight guys - to raise money for the Banderas Bay Women's Shelter. The fun starts at 7 pm at Act II with an opening reception and the hilarious competition begins at 8 pm.

Foot stomping, hand clapping, and outburst of cheers were ongoing throughout the 6th Annual Duckaton held on the poolside terrace of Boana Torre Malibu on February 25. The charity event raised about $120,000 pesos to help SETAC continue their fight against AIDS in Vallarta.
The International Friendship Club Cleft Palate Program

On March 3rd at 7 pm, the IFC will host a public information session on its Cleft Palate Program at the IFC clubhouse. Medical professionals who volunteer their time to treat local children at no cost will summarize the past few years of medical care, with a PowerPoint presentation.

The Banderas Bay Women's Shelter is now open! On December 18, 2014 the shelter began offering it's services to women and their children who are victims of domestic violence. BBWS is one of very few shelters in the country and the only shelter in the State of Nayarit.
