Part 3: The House Hunters International Crew Arrives
All this House Hunters planning was happening at the start of our busy season. There were many things happening in my life all at the same time during this period; The American and Canadian tourists were traveling back to PV, my clients (buyers and sellers) were returning and ready to move forward with their real estate ambitions, property showings kicked into high gear and new projects were breaking ground.
I became in charge of the new MLS public site and that of the Communications Committee for our real estate association... and finally, my awesome sister was coming to town to help celebrate a milestone birthday of mine. Having an incredible support group at the office and a network of respected professionals (including my birthday party planners... wink, wink), we were able to get everything ready in time for the arrival of the film crew.
Bienvenido Scott, Joseph and Joe! Team HHI arrived on January 5th, safe and sound and were ready to get the show off the ground ASAP. I first met with the crew the following morning at our Timothy Real Estate Group office. I had no idea what to expect, look for, or even prepare for. I had a general idea of what I wanted to say, but I wasn't sure if that's what the director wanted to hear.
All I was told by the producer was that all three men were HHI alumni and were great to work with... and she was totally right. From the start Scott (director) made me feel at ease, calming any nerves I had (and I had about three million of them), and guided me through the process of filming. He was very calming and supportive, offering suggestions and making sure everything felt natural.
Cameraman Joe and Audio man Joe were also as calm as can be, but with a wicked sense of humor. I could not stop laughing around these guys, and neither could Zapher and Derick. It was like a comedy routine once all six of us got going. We connected really well and became fast friends over the course of the next few days...Timothy Real Estate Group is a full-service real estate sales, rentals and development agency representing some of the most distinguished properties and developments across Puerto Vallarta, Bahía de Banderas and the Riviera Nayarit.
