Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - There are a limited number of tickets available for the December 5, 2012 Becas Breakfast at the beautiful bistro Vitea on the Malecón. At 9:30 am, a fabulous breakfast prepared by Ulf and Bernardo will be served. The list of prizes for the raffle, as well as the paintings and object d'arte for the Silent Auction is dazzling.
Last Saturday, Becas Vallarta honored their 421 scholarship students with a Posada at Los Mangos Library with piñatas, music, dance, tamales, fresh fruit, cotton candy, dulces and a small Christmas bag of goodies for each student.
It was a blast with University, prepa and secondary young people piling on the grass to get the candies as they fell from the colorful piñatas and lining up for the cotton candy. Many, who had achieved a promedia of 9.5 or above, were honored with a certificate of achievement from the Mayor of Puerto Vallarta. It was an inspiring event with that many young people behaving so beautifully and even staying to clean up before they left.
This breakfast, and the subsequent ones, raise the funds to keep these beautiful young people in school.
