Massive Public Education Overhaul Approved in Mexico

A plan to overhaul Mexico's public education system has been ratified by 18 of the country's 31 states and will be signed into law by President Pena Nieto. The law removes control of the public education system from the Union of Education Workers and gives it to the government.
