Mamas in Puerto Vallarta Host Picnic / Charity Benefit

US Navy Continues to Spread Goodwill to Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta was honored to welcome the USS Lake Champlain, a US Navy Guided Missile Cruiser, to its waters last week. They came to deliver much needed medical supplies, a goodwill gesture from Northcom of the US Government, but the crew also enjoyed leisure time in our city.

The International Friendship Club just spent $138,000 pesos on making good things happen in Puerto Vallarta. Their Home Tours had a very successful season, and part of the program's revenues have been allocated to improve the lives of local Mexican residents who need help.

Better Teeth for Boca: IFC Awards Dental Clinic Grant

At the March meeting of Vallarta's International Friendship Club, President Dan Grippo announced that IFC will be providing $4,000 USD to the new Community Health Clinic in Boca De Tomatlan for the purchase of a dental chair, as well as a dental instrument sterilizer and autoclave.

'What a Drag' Raises $400,672 for Women's Shelter

Some of Puerto Vallarta's finest men went out on a limb last Wednesday, donning garish make-up, wigs, dresses and high heels to compete in 'What a Drag!' - Vallarta's first-ever drag competition for straight guys - to raise money for the Banderas Bay Women's Shelter.

At the last big fundraiser of the season for PuRR Project, held at Daiquiri Dick's on March 10, around $15,000 pesos were raised to help fund the care and feeding of the over 130 adorable cats and kittens in residence at Puerto Vallarta's no-kill feline shelter during the lean summer months.
