    Signs are emerging that Mexico's clothing industry is reclaiming a growing proportion of the US market. Mexico, which was the United States' largest apparel supplier in 2000, lost a huge share of the US market when China entered the World Trade Organization in 2001.

    Last year México produced 4,753 tons of silver despite the low production of the two largest silver mines in the world, making it the largest producer of silver in the world. Silver enjoyed a good year in 2011 with an average ounce price of $35.12 USD.

    Over $54,000 Pesos Raised for Los Mangos

    Vallarta’s favorite little plaza for everything delicious is thrilled to announce the tally for their season-long fundraiser in support of our public library, Biblioteca Los Mangos. For the six month drive, patrons of the shops at Los Mercados raised an astounding $54,300 Pesos.

    PV Old Town Farmers Market Season Ends

    The Old Town Farmers Market-Tianguis Cultural has completed its successful third season in Puerto Vallarta's Zona Romantica. This year's move to the streets of Pino Suarez and Basilio Badillo provided ample room for more shopping, friends, food and family fun!

    Saturday, May 26 is the last Puerto Vallarta Old Town Farmer's Market day of this season. Come rain or shine, the market will be open, so pack an umbrella or wear your beach clothes and come on out from 9:30 am to 2 pm to stock up on all of your favorite local products.

    Old Town Farmers Market – New Home & New Hours

    It has been a 2 year process to find a new home for Vallarta's Old Town Farmers' Market that opened on March 27, 2010. But it has now found a permanent home. Beginning Dec. 10 the Market will be open from 9:30 to 1 pm on Pino Suarez Street between B. Badillo and V. Carranza.

    Old Town Farmers Market Opens to a Crowd

    On Saturday, November 5th the Old Town Farmers Market-Tianguis Cultural opened for the season in its’ new location at the kindergarten El Jardin de Niños Emiliano Zapata. A crowd of over 1400 locals and tourists attended – a 50% increase over last years’ opening.

    Sunday Market in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle

    Sunday, October 30, was the opening day of the La Cruz de Huanacaxtle open-air market. Open Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm, the market is located next to the Fish Market at the northeast end of the Riviera Nayarit La Cruz Marina, and everything sold is local and sustainable.
