Old Town Farmers Market Officially Open

On Saturday December 10th, city officials, tourists and local residents were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the Old Town Farmer's Market - Tianguis Cultural in its' new location on Pino Suarez street between B. Badillo and V. Carranza on Vallarta's South side.

On December 3 and 4, 2011, a team of 45 professional volunteer divers cleaned up the ocean floors, while the community participated in beach cleanups in Rincon de Guayabitos, Los Ayala and La Peñita de Jaltemba, three of Riviera Nayarit's popular vacation destinations.

From November 30 through December 3, 2011, SETAC GLBT Community Center, in collaboration with COMUSIDA, Jalisco's Secretary of Health and Pitillal's City Hall, offered free HIV testing to Puerto Vallarta citizens. 403 people were tested, of which only 3 were reactive.
