In addition to being named “The Best Mexican Restaurant” in Banderas Bay, El Arrayán has been leading the Slow Food movement in the region for over two years, has been awarded the coveted AAA Three-Diamond Award, named a Fodor’s “Choice Restaurant”, was called a “truly memorable meal” by Lonely Planet, and a “must-do” by Frommer’s Guide.
The atmosphere is contemporary Mexican with accents reminiscent of times passed. The walls are colors traditionally used in haciendas of the La Sierra region in Jalisco: washed-down terracottas, brown, brilliant yellow and lively pink.

And the food is anything but boring - something to tickle everyone's taste buds! Plantain empanadas, shrimp pozole, baby scallop and avocado ceviche, their original crispy duck carnitas, a marinated goat cheese salad with smoked peppers or the cochinita pibil, a lean pork leg stew with achiote over a marinated banana leaf, the list goes on and on.
