Recycling in Puerto Vallarta will soon get a whole lot more efficient with the addition of a brown Peterbilt front-loader compacting garbage truck, courtesy of MarBorg Industries and the Santa Barbara, CA Sister City Committee.

To put it quite simply, the May 8th fundraiser for PEACE and the SPCA de PV was a smashing success and Puerto Vallarta's most glamorous party of the year. Thanks to Hacienda Palo Maria owner Phil Stewart and event underwriters, over 200 guests were treated to an utterly unforgettable evening.

School of Champions Summer Camp - Get Involved!

The School of Champions, a charitable program run by Feed the Children Vallarta that offers educational opportunities to kids from underprivileged backgrounds, will be running a four-week summer camp for children from some of the poorest areas of Vallarta from July 12th-August 6th.

Christmas came early to the families and children of inmates at the State Prison near Ixtapa on Saturday, May 1st when two new Toys for Tots playgrounds were inaugurated on the prison grounds, providing hundreds of kids a place to play during the up to 8 hour weekly visits.

Teatro Limon Restaurant will be hosting a five course dinner event to raise money for the Little League baseball playoffs to be held in Puerto Vallarta the weekend of May 28th-30th.

Community Unites to Transform Schools

Over 250 volunteers participated in the Corral de Risco elementary school Recycle Park project on April 24th. Three more parks are scheduled to be built on May 8th requiring at least 500 volunteers where the Emiliano Zapata kinder, primaria and secundaria schools will receive complete makeovers.

Honor Students Donate $5800 to Los Mangos

The National Honor Society students of the American School of Puerto Vallarta recently made a generous donation of $5800 pesos to Los Mangos Library. The money came from the regional Tri-Association award received for their Leer y Crecer project, which encourages small children to read.

Commemorating Earth Day on the Rio Cuale

First Official Fundraiser for Calidad de Vida a Great Success!

At their first official fundraiser held on Sunday, April 18th at the beautiful Casa Isabel, over $110,000 Pesos was raised to support Calidad de Vida's efforts to offer hospice and palliative care to all people in and around Banderas Bay who have a life threatening illness.
