Cornerstone brings 'Health Tourism' to Vallarta PVNN
Offering the option of 'health tourism' in Puerto Vallarta, the not-yet-completed Cornerstone Hospital was inaugurated recently to introduce the state-of-the-art concept to the Vallarta public. Based in Texas, Cornerstone promises accessible medical attention with the best equipment available at reasonable prices.
Planned to serve both the foreign and Mexican communities, bilingual doctors will begin service early in 2005. One of the major reasons for the decision of the directors to locate the hospital in Puerto Vallarta was the climate, considered optimum for rehabilitation in what could be termed 'health tourism.' Cornerstone Hospital is centrally located in the Hotel Zone behind Plaza Caracol at Tules 136. Malecón Extension to the Cuale River Authorized PVNN
The proposed extension of the popular Malecón in Puerto Vallarta will connect the ocean walk downtown with the South Side and its many restaurants and businesses. With an infusion of $9.5 million pesos, the extension of the Malecón from Los Arcos Amphitheater to the new pedestrian bridge over the Cuale River has been approved with a three-part funding program, including municipal, state and federal levels.
Officials meet this week to work out details of the project, stalled in previous attempts due to the strategic location of the Naval Military Hospital right at the corner across from Los Arcos. A stairway already leads to Isla Rio Cuale from the pedestrian bridge, where the recently inaugurated museum offers tourists a glimpse into the culture and history of the region. The Whales Are Jumping PVNN
Our Bay of Banderas is one of the few bays in the world to offer a sanctuary for the large humpback whales, as well as two other varieties, who can be seen in these waters from November to April. To see these awesome mammals swimming with their calves and soaring out of the ocean with majestic maneuvers is a tremendous emotional experience. During this month the whales are mating and giving birth, especially around the Marietta Islands. |
