Grupo Diagnosti-K has unveiled a new Konica Minolta imaging platform featuring Dynamic Digital Radiography (DDR), making it the first and only system of its kind currently available in Jalisco.
Unlike conventional X-ray equipment that captures a single still image, DDR technology creates a sequence of moving images similar to a video. This allows radiologists to observe how the body functions in real time, helping detect abnormalities that may not be visible with traditional imaging.

Specialists can now evaluate spinal movement, joint function, musculoskeletal disorders, contrast studies, and other conditions that require observing organs and body structures while they are in motion.
The system also features a wide imaging field, allowing physicians to capture larger anatomical areas, including the spine, abdomen, and lower extremities, in a single image. This improves efficiency while providing more comprehensive diagnostic information.
Patient safety and comfort were key considerations in the new technology. By combining digital imaging with AI, the system reduces image capture times while lowering radiation exposure compared to many conventional X-ray systems.
Its flexible design also makes examinations easier for patients with limited mobility. Individuals who use wheelchairs or require bed rest can often be imaged without unnecessary transfers or repositioning, offering added convenience for seniors and those recovering from illness or injury.
Artificial intelligence further enhances the imaging process by helping optimize image quality and automating technical tasks such as positioning and reconstructing complex studies. However, specialists emphasize that these tools support – not replace – the expertise of radiologists, who remain responsible for interpreting results and providing final diagnoses.
