Delta Hotels Riviera Nayarit Opens Tonati Beach Club

Riviera Nayarit, Mexico – Delta Hotels Riviera Nayarit, which opened in August 2021 and is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s extraordinary portfolio of hotels, recently announced the opening of its novel Tonati Beach Club and the start of construction of an exceptional Water Park.

Tonati, a word from the local Wirrárika culture that was a Huichol king and means the “son of the sun”, marks the first expansion of the stylish all-inclusive resort, known for its natural surroundings. Designed by the Mexican architecture firm Barba Ramírez Arquitectos, who also designed the resort, the Tonati Beach Club gives continuity to the architectural elements inspired by the indigenous history of the La Cruz de Huanacaxtle site, featuring a clean and modern aesthetic with palapa ceilings, turquoise-colored walls, tailored furniture that include comfortable sun chairs and electrical outlets and WiFi to work from anywhere with stunning ocean views.

“Tonati Beach Club enhances the experience of Delta Riviera Nayarit’s guests who seek to spend a day at the warm golden-sandy beaches of the area while enjoying the premium services that set the resort apart,” said Lita Aguirre, General Manager, Delta Riviera Nayarit.

Featuring a variety of ceviches, aguachiles, poke bowls, sushi, and other fresh delights from local produce, the Beach Club will cater to guests refined palates, and craft signature cocktails and libations for the younger ones. “A tailored food and beverage experience is certain to offer something for the entire family to enjoy, while serving dishes with the freshest ingredients from the Pacific waters as well as recharging cocktails,” added Aguirre.

The Tonati Beach Club which operates from 11 am to 6 pm, is located at the neighboring beach to one side of the Marina of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, and is accessible from the resort via a complimentary shuttle service.

The resort also announced the ground breaking for a state-of-the art water park, featuring numerous cascading pools and jacuzzis, a lazy river, kids and adult-only areas, as well as a complete jungle lounging experience. Inspired by the Tolantongo caves, located in the Mexican state of Hidalgo, and where cascading thermal springs form naturally heated pools, this area embraces the envisioned design that will upgrade the guest’s connection with nature onsite.

“We are thrilled to expand the Delta resort with this unique water park and offer our guests more ways to relax at our resort. This experience will enchant children and adults alike,” commented Aguirre.

The Water Park at Delta Riviera Nayarit is set to open by January 2023, and it will be accessible exclusively for resort guests.
