Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – According to a study release by travel assistance company Allianz Partners USA, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is one of the world’s most popular places to celebrate the Christmas holidays.
The month of December is one of the most important for tourism around the world, since travelers want to celebrate the Christmas holidays in destinations that offer unique experiences, and many tourists from the United States prefer to spend the holidays in cities where the weather is warm and the skies are blue.
The US market is one of the most captive and during this period it has chosen Puerto Vallarta, known as the ‘Green Pearl of the Mexican Pacific,’ as its favorite, surpassing destinations such as Montego Bay, Jamaica; Oranjestad, Aruba; London, England; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; and Paris, France, among others.
After analyzing nearly 4 million itineraries for round trip flights departing from United States airports between December 18 and 29, 2021 and returning December 19-30, 2021, the Allianz study found that Puerto Vallarta was among the three most preferred holiday destinations outside of the United States.
Likewise, CNN recently selected the 7 favorite cities to visit during the month of December, with Puerto Vallarta being the only selected Mexican destination, thanks to its privileged climate with beautiful sunny days and pleasant temperatures. The city shares this list with important sites such as New York, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Traverse City in Michigan, and Lake Tahoe in California, among others.
“Just because there’s no snow on the ground doesn’t mean the city is lacking in Christmas cheer. In Puerto Vallarta, you can participate in any number of festivities, including posadas, a tradition that invites friends, families and even hotel guests to participate in a Christmas celebration,” the CNN article said.
It is worth mentioning that Puerto Vallarta has been a trend in many travel studies during this 2021, highlighting the one published by Expedia, in which they placed this important destination as the favorite to celebrate Thanksgiving.
