Puerto Vallarta will Welcome 15 Cruise Ships Before Year’s End

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta will welcome fifteen more cruise ships before the end of the year, according to the API’s (Integral Port Administration) arrival calendar.

This is in addition to double arrivals on December 1st (Majestic Princess & Ruby Princess) and the 2nd (Norwegian Bliss & Koningsdam,) and the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter ‘Aspen,’ which docked in our port on Sunday, December 5, and will depart on Tuesday, December 7.

The cruise ships that will arrive are the Carnival Panorama, Majestic Princess, Norwegian Bliss, Koningsdam, Viking Orion, Grand Princess, Navigator of the Seas and the MS the World, a residential cruise ship with 165 luxurious shipboard condos where residents, from about 19 countries, live on board as the ship travels.

The World cruise ship is the only private residential community-at-sea where its residents may travel the globe without ever leaving home. Condominiums on MS the World cost from $825,000 to $7.3 million USD. But, before buying a condo, residents have to prove their net worth exceeds $5 million USD. The MS The World ship will be docked in Puerto Vallarta for three days.

Wednesday, December 8th will be the first of five more days that the port will welcome a double arrival, the Majestic Princess and the Norwegian Bliss, and there are another four days with double arrivals scheduled: on the 12th, 15th, 27th and 28th of this month.

Up to 60,000 tourists are expected on these cruises, along with up to 30,000 crew members, who will enjoy the beauties of Puerto Vallarta. The average expenditure for each person who disembarks is between $80 and $100 USD.
