Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Becas Vallarta, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to Banderas Bay area students who have limited resources and high scholastic achievement, will be holding their first BECAS Breakfast of the new season at Coco’s Kitchen on November 16, 2022, at 9:30 am.
This is a time to greet old friends just back from summer vacation, meet newcomers who are just discovering Puerto Vallarta, and enjoy a delicious breakfast, while helping Becas’ young Becados (scholarship students) keep receiving their scholarships.
Becas Vallarta (America-Mexico Foundation) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money to provide scholarships for Puerto Vallarta’s young people, 8th grade through university. To qualify for a scholarship students must come from a local family of limited resources, maintain a grade point average of 8.5 and be a good citizen in school and at home.
Once students earn a scholarship, Becas continues to fund their education as long as they meet criteria. Scores of professional and business men and women in Puerto Vallarta have received their educations through Becas Vallarta and the America-Mexico Foundation. The quality of leadership in this city has been greatly enhanced by these former scholarship students.
This fun event helps to keep the coffers full to fund the 220 scholarship students in Puerto Vallarta and surrounding rural areas, such as Las Palmas, El Colorado, El Ranchito, La Desembocada, Ixtapa, Las Juntas and the south of the municipality of Cabo Corrientes, that Becas Vallarta currently supports.
Scores of professional and business women and men in Puerto Vallarta have received their educations through the Becas Vallarta and the America-Mexico Foundation. The quality of leadership in this city has been greatly enhanced by these former scholarship students.
