Vallarta Botanical Garden Mothers Day

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In Mexico, Mother’s Day is far more than a greeting-card moment. It’s a day to spend quality time with your mother, to bring her gifts, to show her how much you care.

If you are here in Puerto Vallarta, there is no better way to pamper Mom than by treating her to an unforgettable day at Vallarta Botanical Garden. And, from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, May 9, all mothers get in free! (Accompanying persons pay regular admission of $200 Pesos per person.)

Celebrate spring together as you explore the 74 acres of native tropical plants, beautiful blooms and flowering trees on meandering jungle pathways. Enjoy marvelous displays of Mexican wild flowers, large plantings of cacti, rhododendrons, agave, bromeliads, orchids, ficus, vanilla and other tropical plants.

The VBG also boasts four conservatories showcasing local and exotic flowers from all over the world, including the Vallarta Conservatory of Mexican Orchids and Native Plants, which houses the most-visited public collection of orchids in all of Mexico; plus vanilla, chocolate and coffee plantations; a museum; a rock collection; and a small natural history museum with butterfly, insect and seashell collections.

Once you’ve explored to your heart’s content, treat Mom to delicious Mexican dishes and refreshing tropical drinks, accompanied by live music, in the Garden’s famous Hacienda de Oro Restaurant.

Before you leave, stop by the Gift Shop and let Mom choose a Mother’s Day gift that will forever remind her of this special day spent together.
