Vallarta Botanical Garden Volunteer Training

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In just 14 years, the Vallarta Botanical Garden (VBG) has grown from an ambitious dream to one of the most famous new gardens in the world. Each year it continues to provide new attractions and programming to its many visitors, now numbering over 40,000 per year.

Key to this garden’s success in growth and excellence are the dedicated efforts of its troops of volunteers. Volunteer duties range from horticulture, to guest services, community programming, events and much, much more.

Volunteers find their time to be an engaging and rewarding way to put their skills and experience to work for the good of the garden and the local community. Equally as fun is connecting with visitors from all over the world who converge to experience the beauty of the Vallarta Botanical Garden and learn about the local ecology.

Sound interesting? Make plans now to come out to Vallarta Botanical Garden on Saturday, January 4 for volunteer training day. Everyone is invited come learn more about the Garden and how you can put your skills, talents, energy and creativity to work to further the important mission of the VBG.

Vallarta Botanical Garden Volunteer Training Day Agenda
08:00 – 10:00 Optional Birding Hike (Meet-up at Garden Entry)
10:00 – 10:30 Optional Breakfast (Complimentary)

The minimal commitment for VBG volunteers is usually a four hour block of service once a week over a period of at least 10 weeks. Garden staff can often work around scheduling challenges to accommodate existing commitments and other times of unavailability.

For those who would rather not commit to travel up to the Garden each week, there are also volunteer opportunities available from the Vallarta Botanical Garden’s downtown office at Ignacio L. Vallarta 399 near Basilio Badillo Street.

The Vallarta Botanical Garden’s training on January 4th is FREE and does not commit you to a volunteer service obligation… although you’ll likely be inspired to sign up on the spot!

So please plan on joining us for a morning of learning and exploration. We ask that you pre-register by Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 by sending an email to volunteer(at)vbgardens.org.
