Vidanta Announces Theme Park Preview Visits Starting Aug 1

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mark Wahlberg, Jaime Camil and Abraham Ancer are featured in a star-studded promotional campaign for the upcoming Vidanta World amusement park, which is set to begin offering guided ‘preview’ tours of some of the theme park facilities and attractions on August 1, 2023.

Originally set to open in 2018 with a Cirque du Soleil theme, the park has been expanded and rebranded as Vidanta World, “a multi-tiered destination of immersive entertainment and vacation experiences across several park concepts, spanning hundreds of acres and countless one-of-a-kind experiences.”

Work on a US$1.4bn Mexican theme park and resort development is continuing to progress, with the first phase set to open later this year. In one of its latest advances, several roller coasters have arrived and are beginning to be installed as part of the attractions that Vidanta World will offer guests.

Cirque will still play a part, with a permanent dinner theater to host shows called Cirque du Soleil JOYÀ, that is now ready to open, along with a parachute-type attraction that takes passengers to the top of a tower and lowers them back to earth in a controlled drop, a giant Ferris wheel with gondolas that slide along rails like a roller coaster, and dancing fountains with lights in the middle of a lagoon.

A sky gondola, which is already operating, will transport visitors from the nearby Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort to all of the attractions under development, including a water park called ‘Jungala Aqua Experience,’ and a nature theme park next to the Ameca River, among other points of interest.

In the promotional video, Zeta-Jones, Wahlberg, Camil and Ancer explore each of Vidanta World’s upcoming immersive experiences, along with the resort’s many other attractions, such as impeccable golf greens, sparkling swimming pools, delectable cuisine, gracious service and posh accommodations for which Vidanta has built its reputation.

“Vidanta is proud to partner with world-famous talent to tell the story of how we are continuously working to offer our guests the most extraordinary and celebrity-approved experiences,” said Ivan Chavez, executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta.

“We look forward to sharing new incredible adventures as we expand the Vidanta universe and transform the future of luxury entertainment travel.”

According to Vallarta en Línea, the guided ‘preview’ tours of the Vidanta World amusement park’s many attractions will run from August 1 to November 12, 2023. To access the park you must make reservations, as there are limited places, and admission will obviously have a cost.
