Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Thompson Hotel & Residences Puerto Vallarta, a mixed tourism development backed by an investment of over 2 billion pesos ($100.5 million USD), is steadily progressing towards its 2027 opening.
Spearheaded by the renowned Florida-based construction company Related Group, the ambitious project features a 26-story tower housing 130 condominiums, 28 furnished rental units with hotel services, and 84 hotel rooms across 14 floors. Set on 1.01 hectares in Puerto Vallarta’s northern hotel zone, the development boasts over 100 meters of prime beachfront.
This project marks one of the most significant tourism investments in the region in recent years, reflecting Related Group’s ongoing commitment to luxury real estate in Mexico, following successful ventures like SLS Cancun and SLS Reserve in Zihuatanejo.
The recent laying of the cornerstone at the main entrance symbolizes a key milestone, celebrated with a dedicated ceremony.
Jorge Pérez, founding partner and chairman of Related Group, emphasized the development’s substantial economic impact on the destination, forecasting the creation of 800 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs during construction, alongside 300 permanent positions once completed.
This project not only enhances Puerto Vallarta’s luxury landscape but also bolsters its economy and job market, making it a pivotal addition to the region’s tourism sector.
