Entreamigos Centro Comunitario Educativo, San Pancho

creating educational opportunities...

Entreamigos holds classes for children and adults in both English and Spanish. Our mission and style encourages authentic interaction among all the residents of San Pancho, no matter their language or nationality.

entreamigos began in 2006 on a kitchen table in the middle of a San Pancho street. Today, housed in a giant warehouse recognized as a model sustainable facility, it is an active community center with classes and workshops, a scholarship program, a bilingual library for children and adults, a computer center, an extensive recycling program, a gift store and the Recicla thrift shop.

Remodeled and operated by its paid employees and its valued volunteers, entreamigos provides local children and families the skills needed to contribute positively to their changing world. Simultaneously, it provides its many international volunteers an opportunity to share their skills, knowledge, talents, and interests with a vital and responsive community.

Becas, the entreamigos Scholarship Program, offers exceptional local children who would not otherwise have the resources the opportunity to attend school. For the 2013-14 school year, we have 71 qualified students from grade school through university. entreamigos is always in need of sponsors for these dedicated students.

During school summer vacation, the building and grounds teem with energetic and happy children attending a wide spectrum of workshops offered by volunteers. Talleres de Verano offers art, cooking, sports, ecology, and other workshops limited only by the imagination of the volunteer teachers.

entreamigos holds classes for children and adults in both English and Spanish. Our mission and style encourages authentic interaction among all the residents of San Pancho, no matter their language or nationality.

All entreamigos projects and programs including the library, scholarships, community events and construction projects are supported entirely by private donations. entreamigos is a 501(c)3 non profit organization.
