Puerto Vallarta has long been a community that supports its own, and now one of our cherished residents, Bara DeMarino, is in need of that same generosity. Known for her career as a fashion designer in New York, Bara turned her talents to sculpting and creating unique pieces of jewelry. She has been a beloved member of our Vallarta community for many years, but now she faces a challenge that she cannot overcome alone.
Bara has endured a difficult few years, battling cancer with courage and resilience. After multiple surgeries, she still requires two more months of costly treatments. However, funds have run dry, and she needs our support to continue her fight.
To help cover Bara’s remaining medical expenses, we are organizing a fundraiser raffle. Tickets are available for 1,000 pesos or $60 USD and can be purchased both online and in person. For online purchases, payments can be made via PayPal to barademarino@gmail.com (please send the money as a friend/family). Be sure to provide your full name and email address, with a phone number optional, so that we can email your raffle tickets and enter them into the drawing.
The raffle drawing will take place at La Catrina Cantina on Saturday, June 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Raffle tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the event. In addition to the main raffle, there will be a 50/50 drawing, with tickets priced at 50 pesos each or three for 100 pesos, available for purchase at the door. The raffle drawings will commence at 5:00 pm.
You do not need to be present to win; we will hold your prize if you cannot attend the event. Prizes, which include original works of art, handcrafted jewelry, and other unique items, must be picked up in person, with shipping costs being extra.
