Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – People in Puerto Vallarta who are 30-39 years of age and who have already received two doses of any Covid vaccine can get a booster shot of AstraZeneca from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, February 25th at the La Lija Sports Unit.
AstraZeneca is the only biological the government has authorized to be the booster vaccine for this age group, so it will be the one used in Puerto Vallarta, regardless of which brand was used for the first vaccination(s).
However, it is important to note that the booster shots will only be administered to those within this age range (30-39 years) who completed their initial vaccine series (1 or 2 doses, depending on the brand) at least six months ago.
The vaccines will only be available at the La Lija module, which will be open on Friday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, or until the supply has been exhausted.
Requirements include a new copy of the registration form, proof of your first vaccine(s), an official ID and proof of residence. Registration forms can be obtained at the federal mivacuna.salud.gob.mx website.
