Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas (DACB) is inviting U.S. citizens in the Puerto Vallarta area to take part in a full schedule of July activities designed to bring the community together, provide voting assistance, and support voter outreach efforts ahead of the 2026 U.S. elections.

The month begins with a festive Fourth of July Gathering and Buffet on Saturday, July 4, at 12:30 pm at Whisky Kitchen, located at 108 Insurgentes next to the Río Cuale in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone. The event offers an opportunity for friends and neighbors to reconnect, meet fellow Americans spending the summer in the area, receive updates on Get Out the Vote initiatives, and enjoy live music by popular local performers Joan Houston and Bob Bruneau.
Guests can look forward to a buffet featuring barbecue chicken, salads, macaroni and cheese, portobello mushrooms, mixed vegetables, dessert, and watermelon, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Tickets are $25 USD, including gratuity, while alcoholic beverages and additional items will be available for purchase separately. Because seating is limited, reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with ticket sales extended through July 1 to help organizers finalize attendance. Get your tickets TODAY!

Beyond the holiday festivities, DACB is heavily focusing on voter readiness ahead of the critical 2026 midterm elections. Trained voter assistance volunteers will be available at the Vote From Abroad Help Center on Wednesday, July 15, and Wednesday, July 29, from 1:00 to 3:30 pm at Let’s Pho Restaurant on Calle Lázaro Cárdenas, on the north side of Parque Lázaro Cárdenas in the Puerto Vallarta Romantic Zone.
The assistance centers are open to U.S. citizens living or traveling outside the United States who need help registering to vote, requesting absentee ballots, understanding state-specific voting requirements, or returning completed ballots on time. Individual appointments are also available by email request for those who need additional assistance.

July and August also mark DACB’s annual Stewardship Drive, which raises funds to support the organization’s voter outreach and education programs. Donations help cover the costs of operating Vote From Abroad centers throughout the region, including printing, faxing, community communications, and volunteer training.
The campaign also helps fund nationwide initiatives such as VoteFromAbroad.org, phone banking platforms, legal response teams, and voter information efforts across Mexico. This year, DACB also hopes to establish a temporary voter assistance location in the busy Basilio Badillo shopping district for one week in September.
Organizers note that Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas relies entirely on volunteers and donations to carry out its work. Community support helps ensure that U.S. citizens abroad have access to reliable voting information and the resources needed to participate in the 2026 election.
Those wishing to learn more about the July events, make special requests, inquire about donations, or receive information about thank-you gifts for contributions over $100 USD are encouraged to contact Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas by email.
