Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas invite resident and visiting Americans to take part in a series of June events focused on civic engagement, voter assistance, and community connection.
The last Coffee on the Beach gathering will be on June 2 before taking a seasonal break until October. The informal morning meetup takes place from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Langostinos, offering attendees a chance to enjoy conversation by the ocean while learning about current “Take Action” initiatives and voter outreach efforts.
Organizers describe the beachside gathering as a welcoming space where participants can exchange ideas, stay informed about civic activities, and receive assistance with voter registration and absentee ballot requests. Volunteers will be available to answer questions and guide Americans living abroad through the voting process ahead of upcoming U.S. elections.
Additional voter support events are planned for Wednesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 24, during the group’s “Get Out the Vote” sessions at Let’s Pho in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone. Voter assistants will be on-site from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm to help Americans abroad request ballots, understand return options, and navigate election requirements from overseas.
According to organizers, the goal of these events is to make participation in U.S. elections more accessible for citizens living outside the United States. Trained volunteers provide one-on-one support designed to simplify the absentee voting process and encourage voter participation.
Meanwhile, the organization’s Vote From Abroad Center in Bucerías will pause operations during June and is expected to resume activities in August. Americans needing assistance during the break are encouraged to contact the group directly by email to schedule an appointment.
Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas says the June gatherings offer both practical voting assistance and an opportunity for Americans in the region to connect with others who share an interest in civic involvement and community engagement.
