Vanessa Pérez Lamas, Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco, expressed enthusiasm for the new route, stating, “With three weekly flights, this new route will contribute significantly to the growing influx of visitors we see in the state month after month, while making it easier for locals to visit some of the most popular beaches in Mexico. Congratulations on these flights that are synonymous with bidirectional benefits for Guadalajara and Tulum.”
Viva Aerobus, the airline powering this air bridge, echoed the enthusiasm. Celebrating their second route opening in Jalisco within a month, Juan Carlos Zuazua, the airline’s General Director, emphasized their commitment to the region’s growth: “We’re confident that the Tulum airport can become a major connection hub in the Riviera Maya. Launching flights to Tijuana and Guadalajara just weeks after the airport’s inauguration proves our faith in this destination’s potential.”
