GAP: Passenger Traffic Up 1.0% at 12 Mexican Airports

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico Reports in September 2021 a Passenger Traffic Increase of 1.2% Compared to 2019 (Increase of 64.1% Compared to 2020) at GAP’s 12 Mexican airports.

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico – Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico, S.A.B. de C.V., (“GAP”) announced preliminary terminal passenger traffic figures for the month of September 2021, which includes comparisons with the 2019 and 2020 figures to facilitate the reading and understanding of the passenger traffic trend.

For September 2021, the total number of terminal passengers at GAP’s 12 Mexican airports increased by 1.0%, compared to the same period of 2019. Los Cabos, Tijuana and Puerto Vallarta airports presented an increase in passenger traffic of 30.3%, 11.9% and 7.5%, respectively, while the Guadalajara airport presented a decrease of only 10.1%, which demonstrates a positive trend in our main airports in Mexico.

In relation to international travel restrictions, the United States requests that travelers must present a negative COVID-19 test for entry into that country; while, starting on September 7, Canada reopened non-essential flights requesting, among other conditions, that travelers be fully vaccinated and present a negative PCR test for COVID-19.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE PERIOD:

Seats and load factors: The number of seats available during September 2021 increased by 38.2% compared to September 2020; load factors for the month went from 62.0% in September 2020 to 73.7% in September 2021.
