Puerto Vallarta families have a fresh reason to celebrate community life as the municipal government and SEAPAL Vallarta prepare to unveil the city’s very first “Gogo Landia.” This innovative public area is designed to bring neighborhoods closer together while encouraging healthy habits by offering everyone free access to clean, high-quality drinking water.
Scheduled for Sunday, June 7, at 5:00 pm, the grand opening will take place in the Colonia Tamarindos neighborhood. A major highlight of the event will be the activation of a modern public water fountain, a key piece of SEAPAL’s ongoing strategy to boost local health and wellness.
Taking inspiration from successful urban renewal projects like the Tukiparques, Gogo Landia transforms local surroundings into a secure and energetic meeting point. Beyond providing a space for children to play, the park aims to instill a strong culture of environmental awareness by encouraging visitors to bring reusable containers and practice mindful water conservation.
Puerto Vallarta Mayor Luis Munguía emphasized how vital these community spaces are for local development, noting that projects like Gogo Landia strengthen the social fabric and give families dignified places to gather. He shared his vision for the youth, stating that the goal is to provide modern, safe spaces where children can thrive together, representing a major step forward for family unity and the reclamation of public areas.
The initiative also marks a proud milestone for SEAPAL Vallarta. Director Carlos Ruiz explained that the project extends the organization’s core mission by integrating essential utilities directly into recreational areas. By embedding public drinking fountains into neighborhood parks, the agency is actively supporting family health and ensuring that fresh, safe water is accessible to all residents during their leisure time.
With the launch of Gogo Landia, local leaders are reinforcing their dedication to initiatives that elevate the daily lives of citizens, paving the way for a healthier, more connected, and sustainable Puerto Vallarta.
