Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – A new monthly event series is set to combine live music, fine wine, local cuisine, and breathtaking sunset views while supporting one of Puerto Vallarta’s most important charitable organizations. RISE Live at Sunset will debut on June 19 under the palapa at Los Palmares Condos in Punta Negra, offering guests an intimate evening that directly benefits the children of R.I.S.E.
The monthly gathering will showcase some of Puerto Vallarta’s favorite musicians and restaurants, creating a welcoming atmosphere where community members can come together for a meaningful cause. Each event will feature live entertainment, wine, and appetizers against the backdrop of Banderas Bay’s renowned sunsets.
The series is made possible through the generosity of Howard and Robert, whose support allows the events to be hosted in the scenic Punta Negra setting while ensuring that proceeds go directly to the children served by R.I.S.E.
El Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza, A.C. (R.I.S.E.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping displaced and vulnerable children overcome difficult circumstances and build brighter futures. The organization provides a safe and nurturing environment for children facing family crises, abuse, neglect, or other hardships.
At any given time, as many as 50 children may be living under the care of R.I.S.E.’s dedicated staff. As the organization has expanded to meet growing needs, additional caregivers, tutors, cooks, drivers, and other support personnel have become essential to ensuring every child receives the attention and resources they deserve.
The inaugural RISE Live at Sunset event on June 19 will feature music by Diego Guerrero, along with wine and appetizers provided by Let’s Pho. Additional evenings are already scheduled throughout the summer and fall, including Kevin Anthony on July 10 with food and wine sponsors El Granero, Sargento on August 21 with Barcelona Tapas, and Eva and Mau on September 17. Organizers hope the series will become a cherished monthly tradition, bringing together music lovers, supporters, and community members while raising funds to help R.I.S.E. continue its mission of providing care, stability, and opportunity for children in need.

R.I.S.E. (Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza) is a privately funded, 50-bed children’s shelter in Puerto Vallarta, providing a loving environment for children who are “at risk” at home or have no home.
