78% of Winter Flights to Vallarta are International

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta is set for a bustling winter season, as international travelers will make up a remarkable 78% of incoming flights, according to the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP).

From December 2024 through early 2025, the Puerto Vallarta International Airport will see a robust schedule of flights connecting the city with major destinations across North America and Europe, showcasing its growing appeal as a sought-after vacation destination.

With international routes driving most of the airport’s traffic, flights from the United States will represent 47% of the total, with a range of 26 routes linking Puerto Vallarta with cities including Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Dallas-Fort Worth, and New York, plus new routes from Kansas City, Sacramento, and St. Louis.

Canadian travelers, making up 29% of the total, will benefit from 17 routes out of cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, along with a new service from Bagotville. European routes, while smaller in number, round out the diverse lineup, promising travelers from abroad smooth access to Puerto Vallarta’s sunny shores.

On the domestic front, Puerto Vallarta will also welcome flights from 13 cities across Mexico, maintaining essential connections to hubs like Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara.

This winter season marks an uptick in international air traffic compared to last year, with three new U.S. routes and one additional Canadian route reflecting rising demand. With a focus on connectivity and comfort, Puerto Vallarta International Airport is poised to offer visitors seamless arrivals and departures, making it easier than ever for travelers to experience this beloved destination’s beauty and warmth.
